I build playlists that can run strange. I have for exercise, 60's music, alternative, alternative country, and Celtic (for St Patrick's day bike class) playlists. War Music is not for exercise, it is for in some cases, making the hair come up on the back of your neck. I mostly avoid the obvious: there is no Battle of New Orleans or Ballad of the Green Beret here. I like more unusual choices:
Remember the Alamo Kingston Trio
Johnny we hardly knew you Clancy Brothers
Roads to Moscow Al Stewart
No More Eddie Vedder
Love Vigilantes Iron and Wine
If I knew Joan Baez
The Partisan Leonard Cohen
Men Lauden Wainwritght III
Oh Death Mary McCaslin
Dad's Gonna Kill me Richard Thompson
Red Army Blues The Waterboys
Al Bowly's in Heaven Richard Thompson
Soldier's things Tom Waits
The Flesh Failures Soundtrack from HAIR
