This links to a book review that is timely and links to an article in last month's Atlantic which suggested boys and girls develop neurologically on different time-lines. This goes into more depth re the dramatic changes in the job market and the skills needed. He makes the point that males are being left behind and we (parents) need to step up and help formulate realistic options for young boys, adolescents, and young men.
Many people said many things following January 6.https. Many companies committed to the idea of not donating to politicians who supported that event or denied the election results. this article reflects on their performance of that idea. ://flip.it/d3UHIM--fortune 500 and Jan 6
PODCAST: Cautionary Tales Oct 20, 2022 reviews the psychology of conspiracy theorists and their followers and the tale of one man who after having a conversation with a widow from that day, changed his mind about the conspiracy theory of 911 NOT being what it was reported to be. He was punished by his fellow, "Truthers." The content goes on to why it is hard.......In addition a concept I have not heard before: When humans gathered into towns and shared resources and space, the biology of disease allowed for plagues that would otherwise not have affected people nearly as much. With time, technology developed to improve sanitation, water quality, and so on in large groups. A parallel is made with the internet allowing for people previously living apart to become large groups, just as our ancestors and in this case, the disease is the misinformation and bad behavior that is not unlike disease. The author suggests it is simply a matter of time and self preservation for technology to be developed to minimize the harm.....No controversy there!........
